Psychic energy is the transmission of information or energy that can not be interpreted by a physical process. People who can do this on a conscious level are called psychics. But are they true? When the experimenter defined the subject had entered sleep, he’d tell another observer, the “sender” to begin. The “sender” will focus on the picture chosen at a random, trying to “send” this image to the sleeping subject. When the subject is near the end of sleep, he was supposed to be waked up and asked to tell everything that stayed in his memories about the dream. It should be repeated a few times during the night.
Independent judges were encouraged to see the similarity of the dreams as described and the pictures the sender has been looking at. They also judged the similarity of the dreams to the pictures chosen at random. The judges did not know which picture belongs to which participant.
The new tests made the experimenters to think that psi is a weak signal that can be easily overwhelmed with other information coming in through our five senses.
Then studies were worked out in which the subjects` five senses were closed and the subject was relaxed applying usual techniques. The sender was isolated so that he could not send visual data, selected randomly to the subject. The subject was supposed to give the description of the thoughts passing through his mind. The session went on for about 30 minutes. Then the subject was given four visual keys, one of which the sender attempted to communicate and asked which of them was most like the picture he has seen. This test showed the presence of psi with important results for statistics.
